than Rajasthan. It fits easily into a longer plan of
travel around India and Nepal.
ITINERARY
DAY 01
DELHI - JAIPUR
We meet in Delhi and transfer to the airport for our
morning flight to the Pink City of Jaipur. On
arrival we check into your hotel. In
the afternoon we take a sightseeing tour of the city.
Jaipur was constructed in 1727
out of local pink sandstone that glows gloriously in the
setting sun, providing a spectacular backdrop to the
typical Rajasthani cultural sights that continue to thrive
here in their traditional manner. We take time to
absorb the charms of this wonderful city, visiting
the elaborate City Palace and the Royal Observatory, the
Palace of the Winds and the Maharaja's Palace.
DAY 02 JAIPUR
In the morning we drive outside the city walls to the Amber Fort,
perched high on the hill outside the city walls.
Ride up to the fort in style on the broad back of an
elephant, and taste the life once lived by reigning
Maharajahs. The afternoon is spent at leisure
to explore the colourful bazaars full with traditional
Rajasthani crafts.
DAY
03
JAIPUR - UDAIPUR
We transfer to the airport in the morning for our flight to the garden city of Udaipur,
and transfer to your hotel. A city sightseeing tour
takes us to the temples and palaces of this cultural
centre. A beautiful and romantic city, it is
composed of a number of irresistible gardens and lakes
that give it air of transcendence of the mundane.
Nothing here is unremarkable; everything has a special and
heart-lifting charm, and an arts scene dating back
centuries continues to drum an incessant beat here.
We visit the City Palace and wonderful museum and the
Jagdish Temple.
DAY 04 UDAIPUR
The day free for leisure to enjoy this beautiful and
romantic city, realxing on the serenely beautiful Pichola
Lake, or wandering the busy markets.
DAY 05 UDAIPUR - JODPHUR
We transfer to the airport for our flight to the
beautiful blue-painted fortress city of Jodphur. The
imposing fort dominates the city and is a myriad of
palaces, towers, treasures and carved balconies. The
afternoon tour includes the Umaid Bhawan and Mandore
Gardens. Overnight is spent at your hotel in
Jodhpur.
DAY 06 JODPHUR - DELHI 
We take our morning flight to Delhi. We check
into your hotel and take an afternoon tour of Old Delhi.
We visit the beautiful Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in
India. From here we go to the imposing Mughal Red
Fort and Ghandi Samadi (the hallowed cremation ground of
Ghandi), before taking a walk through the labyrinth of
frenetic streets that make up Chandni Chowk, the vivid,
colourful bazaar abuzz with the life and soul of Old
Delhi.
DAY 07 DELHI
We transfer to the airport or station for your onward
journey.
